We welcome new patients of all ages at Shunga Family Dental Care in Topeka, KS. Here is what to expect at your first visit and what to bring.
What to expect at your first visit
1. Check in
Arrive about 10 minutes early. We will confirm your contact details and insurance and answer any questions.
2. Health history
We review your medical history and medications so your care is safe and fits your needs.
3. Exam and X-rays
Your dentist checks your teeth, gums and bite. We take X-rays when they are needed.
4. Your plan
We talk through what we found, your options and the cost before any treatment starts.
What to bring
- A photo ID
- Your dental insurance card, if you have one
- A list of the medications you take
Insurance
We are in network with Cigna, Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas and Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP. See payment and insurance options.
No insurance
No insurance? Our VIP Membership Plan covers routine preventive care with no deductibles, waiting periods or annual maximums.

Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
